About Us

The Al Ritchie Community Association (ARCA) is a registered charity and non-profit organization that has been actively advocating on behalf of the Al Ritchie community since 1987.   We began as a small organization who managed recreational programming for the residents of Al Ritchie.  After 30 years we have grown to include social programming, services, community events and referrals to other agencies and organizations in Regina.

ARCA works hard to find funding including grants, sponsorships, partnership and local business involvment to be able to provide and meet the demands of the Al Ritchie area.

Priorities, goals and activities are determined through interaction with the community at meetings, established programs, events and direct contact with our staff and volunteer board. The association operates with the philosophy that residents know what kind of programming they need and want.

To keep ARCA programs and activities as relevant and community-based as possible we need YOUR input.
Be a part of your Community by getting involved!

Where Are We?

Al Ritchie is the designated central zone communty located between Winnipeg St, Victoria Ave, Ring road and back over to Candy Cane park.  ARCA represents this community.

We are located in SE corner of the same complex as the City of Regina Al Ritchie Arena, the Regina Public Library Prince of Wales Branch, and the City of Regina's Core Ritchie Neighbourhood Centre.  We partner with the City of Regina to utilize the ammenities at Gocki Park including the outdoor tennis court, splash park, soccer field and outdoor rink & heated shack plus space in the gym and indoor arena.

We also operate our Second Chance Community Shop which is free to those in need and includes clothing, decor, small household appliance and is open to the public during office hours to ARCA program participants Mon-Fri.

Ye Ole Pantry

Thanks to generosity of our community members ARCA is now opperating a pantry in the lobby of our building. The pantry will contain non-perishable food items, hygeine products, and as available fresh produce (thanks to our partners at REACH) and fresh bread and other baked goodies (thanks to Cobbs Bakery)!

Due to the cost of print and mailing newsletters to approximately 4000 homes in the Al Ritchie neighborhood, we limit our newsletter and other information to digital formats wherever possible. We aim to provide the community with a mass mailed, printed newletter 1-2 times a year with smaller mailings (postcards or similar) being mailed out as needed to promote special events and services (ex. Snow Angels).

Please use our online calendar for upcoming events and program dates/times and don't forget to sign up for our e-newsletter!
